Romans 8:24-25
24) For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25) But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Each year when a new year starts there is always an air of expectation that goods things will come and that this fresh start is a milestone that the old and the bad is past and now new good things will come.

I know that there is a large population out there that believe that God is angry and eager to punish mankind. I also know that there is a lot of people out there that believe that God punishes them and makes them sick and that makes them angry and fearful of God.

Monday Meditations – Luke 2:13-14

Today’s Meditation Verse:
Luke 2:13-14
13 And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”
Well it is less than a week before we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our savior. Today I want you to meditate on verse 14 keeping this thought in mind. ‘with whom He is pleased’.
On that day the angles proclaimed verse 14 and declared for those whom with God is pleased, that they should experience peace.
Now we can look around our world today and see very little peace. In fact we are in that time when Jesus himself said there would be wars and rumor of wars.
So where is this peace?
It resides within our hearts. The peace that passes all understanding is not understood because of the fact that no matter what wars and turmoil is raging on the outside, the peace still resides on the inside, untouchable.
God himself has placed it there in those whith whom He is pleased.
If you don’t feel that peace within your heart today, just ask Him. Humble yourself to Him, submit your life to him and receive all that He has for you.
This week, this very day, take the time to ask for and receive His peace. There is no better time.

Who We Really Are

We’ve been talking this week about our heart, our inner soul and spirit, the true essence of ourselves. We talked on Monday about receiving revelation knowledge in our hearts as opposed to knowledge in our minds. This is the knowledge that brings power with it and cannot be taken away. Revelation knowledge, knowledge in our hearts, changes us and transforms us.
For months I’ve been stressing the importance of learning to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in all that you do. He does that from your heart.

The past month has had some challenges for me and they all involved people. In two instances someone I loved was being horribly mistreated and it infuriated me. In two other instances I was done horribly wrong.

How Can I Forgive?

This week I’ve been writing about conflict and wounded hearts. I’ve also been talking about how to react when we are mistreated and abused. This is not an easy subject to talk about because it is not easy to respond the way we should, therefore it makes us uncomfortable to discuss.
But we must remember that this comes with transformation and as the Holy Spirit transforms us on the inside we will automatically begin to respond more and more the way that we should. So in the meantime, we must be watchful and when we slip up, do not entertain condemnation. We must forgive ourselves as Christ forgives us and move forward.
