Short Definition:
I bless
Definition: (lit: I speak well of) I bless; pass: I am blessed.

 

Our Monday verse was:

 

Luke 6:27-28

27 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

 

This is a verse that I think benefits us to see more than one root word.  First let’s talk about the word bless.

Monday Meditations – Ephesians 1:17-18

Today’s Meditation Verse:

Ephesians 1:17-18
17)that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18)I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

 

This entire passage from Ephesians 1:15-23 is amazing!  But for today since this is Meditation Monday I wanted to pick out a verse or two to meditate on for the week.

I Want It All

Have you ever seen a movie or TV show where there was a person at a party standing at the buffet table and they were sneaking food and putting it in their pocket?  They were hungry and had experienced hunger often and wanted to make sure that when they were hungry later they would have something to eat.

They are usually embarrassed and afraid that someone would see them.  Their eyes shift around watching to see if someone is looking at them.  They don’t want anyone to laugh at them or scold them for their hunger. Continue reading
