We Can Fight the Enemy, But Can We Submit to God?

If you have been a Christian for longer than a day you have either heard about or engaged in spiritual warfare. We have an enemy who is out to get us, this we know.

We have armor, we have weapons, we are in a battle.

Life is not easy. Just about the time we think we have it all figured out, something hard hits us and down we go. We get up, check our armer, sharpen our weapons, and stand. We have practiced this over and over. We have memorized important scriptures on spiritual warfare and we use them.

I Want Patience and I Want It Right Now

I’ve been thinking this morning about patience. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and something that we so often joke about.

“Don’t pray for patience or you’re likely to be forced to use it!”

“Lord give me patience, right now!”

There are more, but you know what I mean. Let me ask you; is there anything more peaceful in your life then being able to be patient when the situation demands it? When you know that for a situation to work out – or not – you can do nothing but be patient and you are, isn’t that the greatest feeling? Continue reading
