Monday Meditations – I John 1:3

Today’s Meditation Verse:

I John 1:3

3What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may [d]realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a [e]distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

 

The point that I want to bring out in today’s scripture is shown by using the Amplified Bible.  And that point is where John states that we have fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.  The brackets in the Amplified state that this is a distinguishing mark of Christians.

Orphans

Picture the scene from Apple Cider Rules when a couple came to look over the children at the orphanage to find a child.  All the children made sure that day they looked their best.  They tried to not hope too much that they would be chosen.  There was always a huge possibility of disappointment.  As the children grew older their chances of being chosen grew slim and many became adults having never been chosen, always to be orphans.
